Now, Immich does not have a latest tag for it's image but you need to update the version number manually yourself each time. 

Now, again it is important that you add the right PUID and GUID to the docker compose file otherwise you will again get permission issues ;)

Immich does not have a latest tag as other docker compose applications. Instead each time a new release is released you should change the version manually in your .env file.
