This book discusses open source software that can create photobooks. The idea is that you can make a photo book with your own front end/software and that you can then send it to any printer facility. In this way you are not bound by the limits of each photo book production company software. As well the cost of a book could drop significantly if you only need to use their printers since you can design everything at home without needing the printing companies.
