1. Installation in Docker VM

Now, once you have created the Arr stack you want a way to view all your media. This is where finally Jellyfin comes in! You baasicallybasically did all the plumbing and now you can now finally start enjoying the media. The docker compose file is obtained from their official documentation website

compose.yml
services:
  jellyfin:
    image: jellyfin/jellyfin:latest
    container_name: jellyfin
    # Optional - specify the uid and gid you would like Jellyfin to use instead of root
    ports:
      - 1021:8096/tcp
      - 1022:7359/udp
    volumes:
      - ./config:/config
      - ./cache:/cache
      - /mnt/jellyfin:/data
      # Optional - extra fonts to be used during transcoding with subtitle burn-in
      - ./fonts:/usr/local/share/fonts/custom
    restart: 'unless-stopped'
    # Optional - alternative address used for autodiscovery
    environment:
      - JELLYFIN_PublishedServerUrl=https://pinx.rfeyn.org
      - PUID=1000
      - GPID=1000
    # Optional - may be necessary for docker healthcheck to pass if running in host network mode
    extra_hosts:
      - 'host.docker.internal:host-gateway'

Now what is important here is the version tag. At this moment of writing the latest version tag is 12.0-rc6 but this will already be changed next time you look at installing this. Normally the latest update will give you the latest stable update which at this moment of writing is still version 10.11.11 and not version 12. Hence, up until the moment version 12 becomes the latest stable release I would recommend to check every couple of weeks if a new update has come along or not. This because if you specify a version it won't check for new updates automatically.

Need to check the version this time
